"Skeet" Ulrich is an American actor best known for his roles in popular 1990s films, as Billy Loomis in Scream and Chris Hooker in The Craft. Since 2017, he has starred as FP Jones on The CW's Riverdale. His other television roles include Paul Callan in the short-lived ABC drama Miracles, Johnston Jacob "Jake" Green, Jr. in the television series Jericho, and L.A.P.D. Detective Rex Winters, a former Marine from the Law & Order franchise.

SKEET ULRICH is FP Jones in “Riverdale”
Skeet Ulrich stars as FP Jones, former leader of the Southside Serpents and father of Jughead Jones, on The CW’s drama “Riverdale.”
Born and raised in Virginia, Ulrich was discovered in a stage production at New York University by David Mamet. He worked as an apprentice to Mamet at the acclaimed Atlantic Theater Company and performed in several of the company’s productions, including “Reckless” and “Hedda Gabler.” Ulrich’s transition from stage to screen came courtesy of director Stacey Cochran who cast him in the CBS Schoolbreak Special “Same Difference.” She would later cast him in her feature film debut “Boys,” opposite Winona Ryder, Lukas Haas and John C. Riley. Around the same time, Ulrich found success in the cult teen classic “The Craft” and the Bruce Beresford film “Last Dance,” starring Sharon Stone.
Ulrich’s breakout role came as Billy Loomis in Wes Craven’s horror masterpiece “Scream,” opposite Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courtney Cox, Matthew Lillard, Jamie Kennedy, Rose McGowan and Drew Barrymore. For his work in the film, Ulrich was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Ulrich’s extensive feature film work includes James L. Brooks’ Academy Award-winning romantic comedy “As Good As It Gets,” opposite Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt and Greg Kinnear. He also appeared in Richard Linklater’s “The Newton Boys,” opposite Matthew McConaughey, Ethan Hawke and Vincent D’Onofrio, and Ang Lee’s Civil War-era drama “Ride with the Devil,” opposite Tobey Maguire and Jeffery Wright. Ulrich’s additional film credits include “Albino Alligator,” “Touch,” “A Soldier’s Sweetheart,” “Chill Factor,” “Track Down,” “Nobody’s Baby,” “Soul Assassin,” “Kevin of the North,” “The Magic of Ordinary Days,” “For Sale By Owner,” “Armored,” “50 to 1,” “Austin Found” and “Escape Room.”

On television, Ulrich made his mark in the Steven Spielberg-produced miniseries “Into the West,” alongside Josh Brolin and Keri Russell. For his role in the series, Ulrich was awarded a Western Heritage Award. The miniseries was nominated for 16 Primetime Emmy Awards as well as a Golden Globe for Best Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television.

After “Into the West,” Ulrich starred in the drama “Jericho,” opposite Lennie James. Ulrich also starred in “Law & Order: Los Angeles,” opposite Corey Stoll, Regina Hall, Alfred Molina and Terrence Howard. Other television credits include “Miracles,” “Robot Chicken,” “CSI: NY,” “Law & Order: SVU” and “Unforgettable.”
Last year, Ulrich starred as infamous kidnapper David Mitchell in the Lifetime movie “I Am Elizabeth Smart,” opposite Alana Boden and Deirdre Lovejoy. The film was nominated for a Critic’s Choice Award for Best Movie Made for Television.

In 2018, Ulrich directed the short film “The Girl on the Roof.” The film starred Naiia Ulrich, Lennie James, Todd Lowe, Amelia Jackson-Gray and Susan May Pratt. For his work on the film, Skeet received the Breakout Director Award at the Williamsburg Independent Film Festival.
